Noisy background Phone and video interviews are already hard on the interviewer because the majority of messaging is from the non-verbal. Too many times, there is also background noise that makes it even harder to hear or focus. The fix? Make sure you're in a quiet spot for your interview.

Amytal interviews are similar to hypnotic interviews (Kwentus, 1981). Furthermore, amytal interviews are not always conducted according to the protocol described by Piper (1993). Dysken, Kooser, Haraszti, and Davis (1979) carried out a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study on the utility of amytal interviews. The individuals studied were 20 hospitalized patients with varied diagnoses (about half were schizophrenic). Keep in mind that obtaining an ATP certificate typically takes zero-time pilots about 1. 5 to 2 years at best, as they typically build time by flight instructing. Here's what I would do based on the preferences you've mentioned. First, I am in favor of a young person working, traveling or just experiencing the world as it "really" is for a year before beginning college (this way you can at least argue against some of the strange and peculiar ideas you'll hear in college…and you will hear a lot of strange ideas, trust me! ). So spend the time you have now have obtaining your ratings and consider it your "walkabout" or "introduction" to the real world. Keep in mind that learning to fly offers an education beyond airmanship. It's an education in life and teaches you a lot about yourself, people and the world around you. If you're studying full time it should only take about six months to obtain your CFI certificate. When you begin teaching I guarantee that you'll learn more about life and yourself than you ever thought possible.
